USB-C powered does not mean rechargeable

The Doxy 3 USB-C has no internal rechargeable battery. Its cable must remain connected to an appropriate power source while the wand is operating. Doxy specifies a 5V/3A USB-C Power Delivery adapter, and the wall adapter is not included with the wand.

A USB-C power bank may operate the wand when it provides the required 5V/3A Power Delivery output. Check the power bank’s output specification rather than relying only on the presence of a USB-C socket.

Can it run from a laptop?

A laptop port may work only when that port can provide the required USB-C PD output. Many computer ports are intended primarily for data or lower-power accessories and may not provide sufficient power.

How to operate the Doxy 3 controls

Start at the lowest setting and increase gradually. The current Doxy manual recommends light pressure rather than forcing the head firmly into the body.

Adjustable pulse mode

• Not using the wand under blankets or in enclosed spaces

The limit helps reduce excessive heat build-up in the motor and casing. Corded power does not mean the wand should operate continuously without cooling.

Is the Doxy 3 USB-C waterproof?

No. The Doxy 3 USB-C is a plug-in model and is not designed for wet use.

Avoid:

• Using it beside a filled bath or spa
• Submerging any part of the wand
• Holding the complete wand beneath running water
• Operating it with wet hands

Which lubricant should be used?

Water-based lubricant is the conservative compatible option for the silicone massage head.

Apply only a small amount because excessive lubricant may:

Doxy’s current manual specifically says to avoid oil-based lubricants.

How to clean the Doxy 3 USB-C

Switch the wand off and disconnect it from its power adapter before cleaning.

Doxy’s current product page says the head supports optional attachment heads sold separately. However, Club X and another Australian retailer expressly state that Die Cast 3 attachments are not compatible with this USB-C model.

Before purchasing an attachment, confirm that it is identified specifically for:

• The current head-thread or mounting design
• The present Doxy production generation

Do not force an attachment designed for the Die Cast 3, Die Cast 3R, Original Doxy or another wand onto this model.

Because current instructions discourage routine head removal, consult the instructions supplied with the attachment before unscrewing or replacing the standard head.

Using the Doxy 3 with a partner

The compact head and 28 cm handle can make the Doxy 3 easier to position between bodies than a large full-size wand.

Partner use works best when:

Its main compromises are the lack of an included power adapter, complete dependence on a suitable USB-C PD power source, no cordless operation, no waterproofing and compatibility restrictions around attachments.

It is best suited to adults who value powerful external vibration and a smaller head but do not require rechargeable portability, wet use, app control or a large collection of preset patterns.
